This is the place to go if you have an emergency or need an extraction! I was in so much pain from a broken back molar and when I called they got me in the next day! Everyone was so nice and comforting, the extraction was painless and quick. It is the next day after my extraction and I feel amazing no swelling or anything, I would definitely recommend!

Chris M. Davenport, DDS

A native of Glade Spring, VA, Dr. Chris Davenport is happy to have returned to his roots in Southwest Virginia. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and then finished his undergraduate studies at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise. He completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 and has been practicing in Bristol since then.
Dr. Davenport is a general dentist who enjoys all aspects of the profession with an emphasis on implants and endodontics. He is a member of the ADA and has served as the component president of the Southwest Virginia Dental Association. He enjoys volunteering his services at the Missons of Mercy and Remote Area Medical projects in Wise and Smyth County. Dr. Davenport now resides in Bluff City with his two sons, Ryan and Luke. When away from the office he enjoys spending time wakeboarding on South Holston Lake and offshore fishing.

R. Alan May, D.D.S.

Dr. May is originally from Salem, VA where he graduated from Glenvar High School. He went on to complete his undergraduate degree at Roanoke College as a Bittle Scholar while playing for their golf team. After finishing his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013, Dr. May took over and managed his childhood dentist’s practice in Roanoke, VA for next eight years. During this time, Dr. May was able to help his patients achieve a consistently stable, healthy dental condition. After finding the Tazewell area beautiful and learning of the significant need for dentists in the area, he and his wife decided to move here in 2022.
Dr. May is looking forward to the opportunities and expanded capabilities the partnership with Tazewell Dental Group will provide for patients. Dr. May lives in Tazewell County with his wife Mairit and their young daughter Abbie. Outside the office, he’s likely to be playing golf or spending time with his family.

Dr. Elaina Fridley

Dr. Elaina Fridley was born and raised on the outskirts of a small rural town named Covington, VA. She received her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in 2020 before attending the University of Louisville in Kentucky and receiving her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Fridley had the opportunity to focus on rural health during her dental school career through a scholars program that allowed her to rotate through rural communities throughout the state to give comprehensive dental treatment. After dental school, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with Ballad Health, spending time both at South Holston Dental Designs and Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center. Dr. Fridley enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but especially enjoys surgery, removable prosthetics (dentures and partials), and esthetic crown and bridge cases. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment for patients to feel comfortable while also providing exceptional dental care.

When not working on teeth, Dr. Fridley enjoys spending time with family and friends, whether that be on a lake or in the mountains. She also enjoys picking up a good book and staying in for a good movie night.
